ABOUT

We are Ezra and Miriam. We met in 2022 at Kinnernet, an un-conference, and hit it off immediately. What we saw around us in the overlapping communities of tech, investment, entrepreneurship, health and culture was one of the things that kept us talking, way after the conference ended. Between us we lived through multiple waves of venture themes — from early ‘00s SaaS and search to today’s GenAI, Climatetech, Robotics, and Biotech — and had a front-row seat to constant reinvention. Markets and technologies change every five years. Founder dynamics barely change at all.

Entrepreneurs and visionaries burn out at an alarming rate. Start-up culture is a dangerously depleting race to B-round and beyond. Enormous amounts of money can be made, but only by a few, leaving most others who try in the dust questioning their self-worth. We all like to put up a front to the outside world. In these circles, we often portray endless extraversion, high energy, mega focus, genius ideas, and enduring success. And sometimes all of those things are needed to create a new and transformative reality. Even so… doesn’t reading that list make you feel just a little tired already?

Our Story

From experience, we know this tension can be a powerful creative force. Making it so requires going beyond confident, fast-paced appearances to build genuine connections — and beautiful businesses — at the same time. Having masks-off conversations from the start of a venture will forge a much more effective frame to build off of. It will cultivate strong and flexible structures, norms and products.

An imaginative visionary is most often not also a thorough manager. That’s ok. We’ve all heard teams need diversity. But how can you fill in each others’ gaps without stepping on, or worse, crushing, toes? The answer will be different for every founding team, and we want to tease that out with you by focussing on the relationships between everyone involved starting with you, the founders. Let us help you peel the onion without losing productivity. Preferably before something or someone breaks.

Founder relationships are a ‘meta-specialization’ that crosses several fields of knowledge including: day-to-day behavior, business, network science, capacity management, psychology, corporate governance and incentivization, sociology, complexity, organization theory, communication, anthropology, spirituality, various fields of law, *and* industry or trade-specific knowledge.

Between the two of us and our network we cover these bases for Healthy Founders’ clients, making sense of this web for you rather than complicating your life further.
